Reviews

As far as reviews go I am currently working on a few more mobile app games for Android devices and I am currently playing another cross platform game to review. Deity Wars Review, A Game for Android Devices

Deity Wars

First and foremost, this game and all it's entirety is the sole creation of the teams at Mobage. I do not own or claim to own the game or any trademarks associated.

Now that that's out of the way, This review is in regards to an Android Trading Card Game. Since the Android devices have come out therer have been numerous TCG's that have appeared all over the Google Play Store, with many coming from the minds at Modage. Deity Wars is an Online TCG with some of the most beautiful cards that I have ever seen, coupled with many awesome features to it that make it Unique.

Features

Deity wars has many features that set it above the rest. As with any Online Trading Card Game there is a Market the allows players to put cards of for "trade" in which players are able to trade their own cars, materials, items, and gold for something another player may have. Thus staying true to the trading aspect of the game. The game also has both PvE and PvP battle systems in place to allow players to relax and play or to pit their "decks" against another players "deck". Everything about this game is to allow a sense of accomplishment in a 5 minute spurt. Both the PvE and PvP battles are automated and require little to no input from the player. You simply set up your deck and hope that your accumulated attack points exceed the defense points of other players.

PvE Battles

The battles that are not against other players are kind of hard to describe. There is a campaign, as well as raid boss'es and campaign boss'es. The regular PvE fights are as simple as touching your screen, with the possibility of getting a reward. This is pretty straight forward, the only catch is the fact that you run off an energy system very similar to all the other time sink games such as mobsters, World at War, and etc... The other PvE battle systems are for Raids and Boss fights, The boss fights are kind of cool because it's just your Deck Leader versus the Boss. The only options you have are Attack and Heal until either you beat the boss or it beats you. The last style of PvE battles is the Raids, now the raids are very similar to the boss fights with the main difference being that it incorporates your entire deck. Your deck and the Raid Boss take turns dealing damage until you beat him, or he knocks you out, forcing you to resume the fight from where you left off at the cost of additional battle points. These battle systems are EXTREMELY lacking compared to the Online Trading Card game "Shadow Era".

PvP Battles

The PvP battles are VERY basic. They contrast of your deck's total combined Attack Power, pitted against your Foe's total combined Defense Power. You may steal and Item from your opponent if you win but other than that the system is VERY lacking. When it comes to combat in this game they DEFINITELY dropped the ball and were unable to deliver an in-depth experience. They were however able to come up with a nice ad very basic battle system that streamlines the battles and makes them last maybe 30-45 seconds allowing play sessions to be quick and still be productive.

Enhancing/Evolving

The ONE thing this game has going for it is the empowerment system of cards, Each card is beautifully drawn and each card is different. When it comes down to the cards, they are broken in to 3 categories  Heaven Hell, and Earth. They are then broken into 6 rarity categories and those are N, NN, R, RR, SR, and SSR. from within these groups a card can be evolved 4 times to the next rarity level. To prevent cards from getting to powerful and to balance the game so the weakest card doesn't somehow become the Ultima Weapon of the game none of the cards can be evolved more then 4 times. This means that the Highest an N can reach is NN, and for NN's an R and so on. Now each time you evolve a card it's level reset to one. As you evolve cards the level cap for that card may or may not increase. meaning if your card capped out at 20, when you evolve it it's new level cap may be 30 or 40. When a card reaches it's max level you create something called material. This material can fill a slot on a card and increase either it's attack or defense by a predetermined number. Now to increase your chosen cards level you "enhance" it by sacrificing any extra cards to it. Now the Enhancement of the card is permanent so be careful with what you choose to sacrifice.

Social

There are a couple of things to bring players together to encourage teamwork, Their version of a friends list is referred to as an "Allies" list. The function of your allies is to provide support against the raid boss'es. Your allies are able to fight the same Raid Boss you discovered in order to help you kill it faster, which also means you are able to return the favor and do the same for them. There is also a Guild feature which allows you to team up with fellow players for both PvE and PvP, (Guild Wars). The Guild Wars is Mobage's version of 1v1v1v1 Guild Arena where it's 4 Guilds in a free for all tournament to see who is the best.

Conclusion

After playing the game, and taking both the Pro's and Con's pf the game into consideration I have decided to give Deity Wars a 7.125/10. The game is GREAT for those that only want to spend 5-10 minutes on a game because they are constantly on the move, while on the flip side, those that are looking for an in-depth Trading Card Game may want to look elsewhere. If Mobage comes back to the game with a major game changing update we may change our minds but for now this is how it stands.

Thanks for reading guys please don't forget to like and share the review and keep your eye's open for more in the future. Well that's all the time I have for tonight So thanks guy's and I will see you guys next time!

Vacation is Over

GOOD EVENING and GOOD NIGHT Ladies and gentlemen, I do apologize for my absence and the lack of updates. Things have been VERY hectic lately with work and the personal life that I haven't been able to get online or even touch my computer lately.  I am now able to get back to it so over the course of the next few days please look for some more game reviews here and towards the YouTube channel for some more adventures. I am still running a little ragged so we won't be as frequently active as before. I am going to try to get at least 1-2 blog updates every few days and try for 2-3 episodes on YouTube per week. We have a lot of catching up to do, so if you guys have any input please let me know.

We will be continuing the I am Alive and the Borderlands 2 series in a few days so look for those, and we will be expanding our game reviews to include Android Applications/Games. That includes non-game Applications as well. Thanks for the support guys, I wouldn't be as excited as I am to be back if it wasn't for you guys. OH!, I will also be doing an in person episode, where you will get to meet the lady who inspires me, the guy that helps out with ideas when I have brain farts, the cute and cuddly offspring of my lady and I, and of course ME! lol, well that is all I have for you guys tonight so I will see you guys next time!!!
